North Cedar Elementary School serves about 190 students in grades K through
6 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. There are two sections of Kindergarten and 6th grades with single sections in 1st through 5th grades.
Our class sizes average 20 students in each homeroom. In addition, there are 2 full time Title 1 reading teachers, 1 resource
teacher, 4 self-contained special classes, a half-time media specialist, and a full time counselor. We are also pleased to
have a Head Start program located at North Cedar that serves three and four year olds.
A Parent Teacher
Association provides support to the students and teachers. We have an after school program supported by the Boys and Girls
Club of Black Hawk County. North Cedar has five Partners in Education who are willing supporters of all we do.
