Character education is about teaching young people to know, accept and live up to their moral duties and obligations. It is NOT about identifying or pursuing preferences and desires.

- Knows the difference between right and wrong and always tries to do what is right.

- Does the right thing for the right reason.

- Is a good person, someone to look up to and admire.

- Sets a good example for everyone.

- Makes the world a better place

What is Character Education?

Character education is a complex process involving:

- Knowledge: teaching principles of right and wrong (cognitive)

- Feeling: instilling ethical values and attitudes (affective)

- Actions: demanding and modeling ethical conduct (behavioral)

Social Dimentions: foster attitudes, habits and conduct that make individuals constructive members of society.

Personal Dimention: foster attitudes, habits and conduct that help individuals live personally meaningful and satisfying lives.
